Scheduled Monument Consent

Its great to end the year with an approval, especially one that has been a long time coming.

We have have received Scheduled Monument Consent for an addition to a cottage located on a henge monument in the Cotswolds. The sensitivity of the site meant that the footing design had to be carefully considered and the design was informed by careful analysis and understanding of the below ground archaeology.

Anyone involved in the heritage world will know that this is a massive hurdle to overcome and has taken lots of negotiation with Historic England and the Local Authority. The archaeological work is scheduled for early in the new year.
